Full-Time:
Public Works Maintenance Specialist
Status: Applications being accepted.
The Town of Fletcher is looking for an individual with experience in solid waste collection and disposal. Work includes participating in the collection and disposal of solid waste materials including garbage, appliances, furniture, yard waste and other materials; operates sanitation packer and other trucks on various routes. Other maintenance work to include maintenance work on streets, grounds, drainage, and other public facilities.
Performs a variety of responsible unskilled, semi-skilled, and sometimes skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work on streets, buildings, grounds, drainage, and other public facilities; participates in solid waste collection and disposal.
Successful applicants will be a high school graduate and have experience in solid waste collection and/or maintenance or construction work. The applicant must also possess a valid class B commercial North Carolina driver’s license or willingly to obtain within three months.
Hourly hiring rate: $18.00/hr

Police Officer

The Town of Fletcher Police Department seeks a police officer candidate who is a leader with high ethical standards and unquestionable integrity. Work includes patrolling the Town during an assigned shift in a police car, bicycle, or on foot; preventing, detecting and investigating disturbances and crime; performing traffic control work; apprehending suspects; and executing related assignments. Employees must exercise judgment, initiative and calm control when performing duties. Work involves frequent public contact which requires tact, firmness and decisiveness.
BLET certification through North Carolina Criminal Justice Training & Standards is required with application.
Starting hourly hiring rate: $20.86

Part-Time/Seasonal:
P/T Park Maintenance Position (Permanent Part-Time)
Open Until Filled
Like working outside? Need some additional spending money? If so, Fletcher Parks and Recreation is currently taking applications for a permanent part-time Park Maintenance position which is a position that works 16 hours per week.
Work hours will be varied and might include weekend work. The position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Job duties include mowing, trimming, ball field prep, landscape maintenance for park facilities, as well as other duties as assigned.
Salary is $16.00/per hour. The Town of Fletcher is an EOE, and pre-employment drug screen and background screening will be required for the successful applicant.
