Brush and Leaf Pick-Up

Brush Collection

ALL BRUSH PICKUP ORDERS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE.  PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ON DEBRIS REMOVAL PROVIDED BY HENDERSON COUNTY.

Brush collection is provided every week starting on Mondays year-round (refer to holiday schedule for adjustments). Please call Public Works at 654-9208 or Town Hall at 687-3985 to schedule a pickup or fill out our online request form.  The work order must be called in or submitted online prior to 7 am each Monday for that week’s collection.

We have now implemented our new brush grappler truck. It has an arm that picks up and loads the brush into the truck for recycling. Therefore, we need your help to ensure our truck can easily and safely access the brush you have placed along your curbside for pick up.
Please do not place brush near cars, mailboxes, manholes, water meters, utility boxes, or underneath overhead power lines. We do not wish to damage any equipment, on or near your property, nor create hazardous situations for our employees.

“Brush” consists of tree limbs and clippings from shrubs.  Limbs should be no longer than 6′ and no bigger around than 6″ (diameter). Trim smaller limbs from the main body of the limb, then neatly stack the brush on the curb.  (Please note that root balls and stumps are not accepted).

Discarded Christmas trees will also be picked up as a part of brush collection-just make sure all the lights and decorations have been removed as they are fed through the chipper. Again, call Public Works or Town Hall to schedule a pickup.

Brush collection does not include “commercial cuts”, which are trees and limbs cut by a commercial trimmer. The removal of these cuts is part of the service you pay them for.  Brush does not include grass clippings, leaves, vines, weeds, etc.

Limits and Charges:
Brush piles no greater than 2 cubic yards (3’x3’x6′) will be picked up each week at no charge, with a limit of 8 yards over a 2-month period.  Larger amounts can be picked up for a charge of $20.00 per 2 cubic yards.
