The parade includes musical groups\, decorated floats\, antique cars and the arrival of Santa! This year’s theme is “Christmas in Candy Land”. \n  \nParade Participants\n\nInterested in participating in the Town’s Annual Christmas Parade? Please click the Parade information and application below for all the details! Dance Groups\, Bands\, Youth Groups and local businesses are encouraged to enter! \n2016 Parade Application – Application deadline is November 28th! \n  \n  \nParade Spectators\nThe 2016 Christmas Parade will begin at the intersection of Old Airport Rd. and HWY 25. The parade will then travel down HWY 25 and end at the Blue Sky Cafe. Spectators will have a great view of the parade from the side walk on either side of HWY 25 between the Ingles Market and the Howard Gap Rd. intersection. The Town is encouraging spectators to view the parade from the middle of the route (between Fletcher United Methodist and Garner Stereo) to help ease congestion at the beginning and end of the parade route. DESCRIPTION:  \nOn Thursday\, December 1st the town of Fletcher will kick off the holiday season with its Annual Tree Lighting at Fletcher Community Park. This event will include the lighting of the Town Christmas Tree by Mayor Bill Moore\, visits with Santa and plenty of delicious hot chocolate and cookies to help keep warm. This is a perfect opportunity for children to give Santa their Christmas letters and to get a photo with the jolly old elf. \nPerformances \nJoin us for local groups performing some of there favorite holiday tunes. Performing groups include\, Veritas Christian Academy\, Southside Dance Studio and Fletcher Elementary School Chorus. \n  \n  \n  \nVisits with Santa\n\nThis is a great opportunity to get a picture with the jolly old elf and for the little ones to give Santa their Christmas list. \n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n Crafts\n\nStop by the craft table and make a holiday picture frame perfect for your photo with Santa Claus. \n  \n  \n  \n\nRefreshments\n\nThere will be plenty of delicious hot chocolate and cookies to help keep warm. These complimentary refreshments are provided by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit of Fletcher. \n\n\n \n  \nFood Donations\n\nThis event is free and open to the public but we encourage attendants to bring canned goods for a local food pantry.
