DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDue to wet field conditions and continued rain expected throughout the day\, we will be cancelling our Easter Eggsplosion! event at Bill Moore Community Park (formerly named Fletcher Community Park). Unfortunately\, we will not be able to reschedule this event.\nEven though we will not be able to have the children join us at the park\, we will be bringing our 10\,000 eggs to Fletcher area elementary schools for an egg hunt next week!\n\n  \nSaturday\, March 24\n11 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nBill Moore Community Park\n(formerly Fletcher Community Park)\n\nJoin the Fletcher Parks and Recreation Department at Bill Moore Community Park on Saturday\, March 24th for the Town of Fletcher’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  This year’s hunt will feature over 10\,000 eggs!  Check out the schedule below to see the other fun activities happening during the event! \n  \nEvent Activities\n  \nEgg Hunt\n \nThis year’s hunt\, for children 11 & under\, will feature over 10\,000 eggs!  To participate\, all children must be able to walk on their own. \nEgg Hunt Schedule\nAges 2 & under – 11:30 a.m.\nAges 3-4 – 11:50 a.m.\nAges 5-6 – 12:10 p.m.\nAges 7-8 – 12: 30 p.m.\nAges 9-11 – 12:50 p.m\n\nInflatables  \n \nChildren will enjoy the inflatable bounce house and slide. The parade includes musical groups\, decorated floats\, antique cars and the arrival of Santa! This year’s theme is “Let it Snow”. \n  \nParade Participants\nInterested in participating in the Town’s Annual Christmas Parade? Please click the Parade information and application below for all the details! Dance Groups\, Bands\, Youth Groups and local businesses are encouraged to enter! \n2017 Parade Application– Application deadline is November 27th! \n  \nGrand Marshal – Lynn Cordell\n  \nLynn Cordell is the Admissions Coordinator at Universal Health Care of Fletcher and has been in the retirement/nursing home industry for 30 years. \nShe also serves as the current President of the Fletcher Area Business Association\, Vice-President of the Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association\, Co-Chair of the Henderson County Retirement Industry Group through the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce where she also serves as current member of that board.  Lynn is also a member of the Henderson County Toy Run Committee that provides Christmas presents to the foster and under-privileged children of our county. \nLynn holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration\, graduating Cum Laude from Montreat College School of Professional and Adult Studies in 2003 and is a member of Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities and the Pinnacle Honors’ Society.  Lynn is a 5th generation native of Henderson County and lives on the family farm with her husband Darrell. \nWe are proud to have Lynn as a part of the Fletcher community and we are pleased to honor her as the 2017 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal! \n  \n  \n  \nParade Spectators\nThe 2017 Christmas Parade will begin at the intersection of Old Airport Rd. and HWY 25. The parade will then travel down HWY 25 and end at the Blue Sky Cafe. Spectators will have a great view of the parade from the side walk on either side of HWY 25 between the Ingles Market and the Howard Gap Rd. intersection. The Town is encouraging spectators to view the parade from the middle of the route (between Fletcher United Methodist and Garner Stereo) to help ease congestion at the beginning and end of the parade route. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n \n  \nThe Town of Fletcher will be hosting its 4th Annual Fletcher Family Festival on Saturday\, September 23! This event will include children’s games and inflatables\, touch-a-truck\, the FABA Business Expo\, and musical performances by Caribbean Cowboys and Carolina Rex!  To cap off the evening we will be shooting off a spectacular fireworks show! Activities will begin at 3:00 p.m. and fireworks will be launched at 8 p.m. \nSchedule of Events\n3-7 p.m. – FABA Expo \n4 – 5:30 p.m. – Caribbean Cowboys’ Concert \n4-7:30 p.m. – Kidz Zone / BINGO / Touch-a-Truck \n6-7:45 p.m. – Carolina Rex Concert \n8 p.m. – Fireworks! \n  \n  \nMusic\nSponsored by Morris Broadband \n  \nSteve Weams and The Caribbean Cowboys Band provide a wide variety of music from Jimmy Buffett to other troubadours such as Peter Mayer\, Scott Kirby\, Jesse Winchester\, Fingers Taylor\, and the best of Classic\, Southern & Trop Rock\, Rhythm & Blues\, Bluegrass\, Beach Tunes\, and last but not least…a few classics such as Frank Sinatra and an awesome “Elvis” tribute along with the Caribbean Cowboys originals! Their original tunes bring you an island-sound consisting of reggae\, calypso\, and good old rock ‘n roll. \n  \n  \n\nCarolina Rex is built on a core of Heavy Blues and Guitar Legend Rock. Heavy Blues is aggressive guitar-driven blues and which includes Texas Blues\, Chicago Blues\, Mississippi Blues\, and other blues genres. Guitarists like Gary Moore\, Jeff Healey\, Joe Bonamassa\, Eric Gales\, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd can all be considered Heavy Blues guitarists. While blues and rock form their foundation\, R&B\, funk\, soul\, rockabilly\, surf\, Motown\, fusion and original music might creep in to a Carolina Rex set. \n  \n  \n  \nKidz Zone \nSponsored by Hendersonville Pediatric Dentistry \n\n  \nThe Kidz Zone will feature inflatables\, including a double slide\, inflatable obstacle course\, moon bounce and an inflatable  for designed for attendees under 5 years old.Other activities include face paint\, balloon twisting (provided by Fletcher United Methodist Church) and FREE snow cones (provided by United Federal Credit Union). \n\nTouch-A-Truck\n\n  \nKids love trucks!  Fire truck\, backhoe\, tractor\, and even a cement truck will be on hand for the kids to climb on and explore. \n  \n  \n  \nBINGO \n\nHead to the Steelcase Shelter for FREE BINGO fun for all ages!
