DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDue to wet field conditions and continued rain expected throughout the day\, we will be cancelling our Easter Eggsplosion! event at Bill Moore Community Park (formerly named Fletcher Community Park). Unfortunately\, we will not be able to reschedule this event.\nEven though we will not be able to have the children join us at the park\, we will be bringing our 10\,000 eggs to Fletcher area elementary schools for an egg hunt next week!\n\n  \nSaturday\, March 24\n11 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nBill Moore Community Park\n(formerly Fletcher Community Park)\n\nJoin the Fletcher Parks and Recreation Department at Bill Moore Community Park on Saturday\, March 24th for the Town of Fletcher’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  This year’s hunt will feature over 10\,000 eggs!  Check out the schedule below to see the other fun activities happening during the event! \n  \nEvent Activities\n  \nEgg Hunt\n \nThis year’s hunt\, for children 11 & under\, will feature over 10\,000 eggs!  To participate\, all children must be able to walk on their own. \nEgg Hunt Schedule\nAges 2 & under – 11:30 a.m.\nAges 3-4 – 11:50 a.m.\nAges 5-6 – 12:10 p.m.\nAges 7-8 – 12: 30 p.m.\nAges 9-11 – 12:50 p.m\n\nInflatables  \n \nChildren will enjoy the inflatable bounce house and slide. The parade includes musical groups\, decorated floats\, antique cars and the arrival of Santa! This year’s theme is “Let it Snow”. \n  \nParade Participants\nInterested in participating in the Town’s Annual Christmas Parade? Please click the Parade information and application below for all the details! Dance Groups\, Bands\, Youth Groups and local businesses are encouraged to enter! \n2017 Parade Application– Application deadline is November 27th! \n  \nGrand Marshal – Lynn Cordell\n  \nLynn Cordell is the Admissions Coordinator at Universal Health Care of Fletcher and has been in the retirement/nursing home industry for 30 years. \nShe also serves as the current President of the Fletcher Area Business Association\, Vice-President of the Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association\, Co-Chair of the Henderson County Retirement Industry Group through the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce where she also serves as current member of that board.  Lynn is also a member of the Henderson County Toy Run Committee that provides Christmas presents to the foster and under-privileged children of our county. \nLynn holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration\, graduating Cum Laude from Montreat College School of Professional and Adult Studies in 2003 and is a member of Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities and the Pinnacle Honors’ Society.  Lynn is a 5th generation native of Henderson County and lives on the family farm with her husband Darrell. \nWe are proud to have Lynn as a part of the Fletcher community and we are pleased to honor her as the 2017 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal! \n  \n  \n  \nParade Spectators\nThe 2017 Christmas Parade will begin at the intersection of Old Airport Rd. and HWY 25. The parade will then travel down HWY 25 and end at the Blue Sky Cafe. Spectators will have a great view of the parade from the side walk on either side of HWY 25 between the Ingles Market and the Howard Gap Rd. intersection. The Town is encouraging spectators to view the parade from the middle of the route (between Fletcher United Methodist and Garner Stereo) to help ease congestion at the beginning and end of the parade route.
