      We suggest you start a compost pile or take it to the landfill yourself
      Lawn and garden clippings are not considered household waste.

Why Do I Pay Fletcher Taxes If I Pay County Taxes?


      Fletcher is a municipality.  Anyone living within the Town Limits currently pays property taxes of   $0.32.5 per $100 of the appraised value. They also pay taxes to Henderson County at a rate of $0.51.36 per $100 of the appraised value.

What Do I Get For My $0.32.5?

      Police and Fire protection, garbage pickup, recycling, street lighting use of Town parks and a reduced rate on recreational activities.

Is Fletcher Fire and Rescue A Town Department?

      Fletcher Fire and Rescue is an independent organization supported by a percentage of Town and County taxes.

What Is The Difference Between Fletcher Rec. Park and Fletcher Parks & Recreation?


      Fletcher Rec. Park is a volunteer organization that coordinates baseball and softball leagues for the Town of Fletcher.  They use the fields at Fletcher Community Park to play their games from April to June. Fletcher Rec. Park is not part of the Town Government; it is a separate organization.  All board members and coaches are volunteers.

      Fletcher Parks and Recreation is a Town Department. It is funded by tax dollars.  We provide a wide variety of programs and special events for the Town and the surrounding area.  Our office is housed at Town Hall.  For more information see Fletcher Parks & Recreation.

Why Do You Not Pick Up Commercial Brush Cuts?

      Brush pickup is a service the Town provides for its residents. Anyone hired to cut brush is responsible for hauling it away.  That is not a Town responsibility.

Why Do You Remove Snow on My Neighbors Street and Not on Mine?


      The Town's Public Works Department removes snow on Town streets only.  Town streets are maintained by our Public Works Department. Your street, even though it is in the Town limits may be a DOT (Department of Transportation) street.
