In the event of a winter storm. Individuals should prepare any emergency supplies now should extended power outages occur within the Town of Fletcher. The Red Cross recommends the following items:
Back-Up Heating appliance
First aid kit and essential medications.
Battery-powered NOAA Weather radio, flashlight, and extra batteries.
Canned food and can opener.
Bottled water (at least one gallon of water per person per day to last at least 3 days).
Extra warm clothing, including boots, mittens, and a hat.
Assemble a Disaster Supplies Kit for your car, too.

This free, informative and innovative tool includes a magnet that will allow you to keep life saving tips as close as your refrigerator before, during, and after an emergency. Supplies are limited so please stop by Town Hall or contact the Fire Marshal’s Office to receive your free “Emergency Readiness Wheel.
